LASH 2023
Program Mission
Based on the success of our inaugural season and feedback from program participants, the Tampa Bay Lightning Alumni are offering our flagship spring hockey program for the 2023 season. We are excited to announce the program has expanded in duration, range, and depth.
Partnering with the Lightning Made Training Center, Power Pole Arena, and House of Athlete, the Lightning Alumni is offering an advanced training program designed for AAA players. This unique and highly competitive program will develop hockey skills under the tutelage of Tampa Bay Lightning Alumni and former hockey professionals. The program utilizes both on-ice and off-ice training sessions that implement a progressive array of techniques maximizing skill acquisition, hockey IQ, and mental fitness.
Program Details
- All players will be outfitted with home / away Lightning Alumni jerseys and socks
- Birth years 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010
- 14 Week program starts the week of March 12, 2023
- 20 on-ice training sessions performed by Lightning Alumni
- 10 off-ice training developed and performed by House of Athlete
- Goaltenders will have four (4) additional goalie-specific training sessions
- Age specific hockey mindset training
- Scrimmages & special events
- Three AAA / AAA Elite level tournaments (one for 2015 birth year)
Tryout Screening Application
Passion. Determination. Development.
Our tryout features a panel of Lightning Alumni and professional coaches that closely evaluate and make recommendations to our selection committee. Applicants will be screened prior to being placed into a tryout group. There is no fee for players to be screened. Players will be notified at the email address from the screening form once the applicant’s status has been determined. All applicants with be placed in their respective birth year for screening. Players will not be allowed to participate outside of their birth year without review and approval from the Lightning Alumni Selection panel. Meet Our Coaches
The commitment and passion needed to play in the NHL is the same passion and commitment our coaches bring to player development. Each coach brings a unique approach to player development and coaching, with experience at all levels ranging from beginner through professional athletes. Our coaching team includes;
Dave Andreychuk, John Tucker, Jassen Cullimore, Adam Hall, Braydon Coburn, Dmirtri Afansenkov, Stan Neckar, Glen Metropolit, Filip Kuba, Mathieu Garon, Dwayne Roloson, and Pat McAuley.
